2. Data We Collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect account and profile data, authentication and security data, watched assets, portfolio or position details you enter, preferences, subscription or payment status where applicable, product usage data, notification settings and device tokens, article links and technical news metadata, AI-generated paraphrased summaries, support communications, and other information needed to provide and protect the service.

We may also process technical data such as browser and device information, IP-derived general location, backend logs, diagnostics, support and communication data, and policy acceptance records including accepted policy version, acceptance timestamp, and, where applicable, the IP address used at acceptance time. For current news sources, we store links, hashes, and derived title or summary fields rather than original article text or full article bodies.

3. Purpose of Processing

We process personal data to provide, maintain, and improve the InvestoVisia service, create and manage user accounts, deliver AI-supported analyses, watchlist functionality and notifications, secure the service, detect misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We rely on one or more lawful bases under applicable data protection law, including performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests, and, where required, your consent.

4. Analytics (Umami)

We may use privacy-focused analytics tools such as Umami to understand how the service is used, improve user experience, and evaluate feature performance.

Analytics data may include usage events, page views, session information, general location derived from IP-based geolocation, and technical information about your browser or device. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent with future effect by contacting info@investovisia.com.

5. AI Services

InvestoVisia may use third-party AI providers to generate, paraphrase, summarize, translate, or improve content and analyses within the service. Depending on the feature, this may involve transmitting selected input data, prompts, related contextual data, or source article snippets to external providers for transient processing.

These providers may include OpenAI, Google Gemini, Zhipu AI, and other model providers we may add in the future. We send only the data needed for the selected feature and, for current news sources, aim to store only links, metadata, and AI-generated paraphrased summaries in the product instead of original article text. We use appropriate safeguards where required.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

As a general rule, account data is retained while your account remains active and for a limited period afterward where necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, regulatory, compliance, backup, or dispute-resolution reasons; technical logs and analytics data are retained only as long as necessary; policy acceptance records may be retained longer where needed to demonstrate compliance.

7. Account Deletion

If you have an account, you can request deletion from the public account deletion page at investovisia.io/account-deletion or by emailing info@investovisia.com with the account email address. We delete the account and associated personal data where technically and legally possible, subject to limited retention for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, regulatory, compliance, backup, or dispute-resolution reasons.

8. Data Transfers

We may share personal data with processors and service providers who support hosting and infrastructure, analytics such as Umami, authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging or platform push notification services where enabled, email and support, payment or subscription processing where applicable, AI/LLM processing, and market, price, news, or other data providers. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure an adequate level of protection, including contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.

Where legally required or operationally necessary, we may notify users inside the app and require explicit acceptance of the new version before continued use of the service.
